Inside the mind of a teenage girl… what is love?

Love.
first of all, i would like to explore the meaning of love. there are so many different meanings of love, but i think the best place to start to look for a meaning, well, it must be the dictionary, right?

define love

  1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
  2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as fora parent, child, or friend.
  3. a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart.
  4. (used in direct address as a term of endearment, affection, orthe like): Would you like to see a movie, love?
  5. a passion or desire for something (i would love to)

right… so what is your definition of love? i have written out the ones that stand out for me in italics.

what is love?

But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some Love is friendship set on fire for others Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it. No matter how you define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the history of humans ❤
heart: what is love

“Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true.   Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love can not be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all.   A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love. Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily. And remember we all have some positive aspect in us, no matter how bad our deeds maybe. And as God said Love all!”

quotes about what love is

“Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness.”

Oliver Wendell Holmes

“Love is… giving someone the ability to destroy your heart… but trusting them not too.”

“It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.”

André Gide, Autumn Leaves

The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it’s indifference.

Elie Wiesel

how i feel about love

when you start to fall in love with someone, you “fancy” them. atleast, thats what everyone calls it at our school. and to fancy something is to want something… or someone. but love is not wanting. in fact, love is needing. without love the world wouldn’t be here in the first place. love is faith. its like giving someone a very delicate ornament and trusting that they wont break it. having faith in them.
love is something you can always hope for. whether it is love from a friend, family or a boy-girl relationship love.
im going to go into this later in another blog, but i need to mention this before i get bombarded for writing boy-girl and not including boy-boy or girl-girl. the fact is, i dont believe that is classed under a relationship love! I think that with gay or lesbians, well.. you have an atraction for a certain person, and maybe you are searching for intimacy, and thats where you find it. but in no way is that the kind of love that i am talking about.
love is one of the most complicated factors of this world. math, chemistry, geography… they all have easy answers. but love? think of it as a path. a journey. only you go through about 1000 different paths in your life!

my experience with love

remind me to write about this another time.. but for now i must dash- its 10:47 and i have school tomorrow!!
